Türkgücü Munich stops playing

3rd league

Munich (AP) – Türkgücü Munich can no longer finish the season in the 3rd football league. The insolvent club has to stop playing at the end of this month.

“The club’s management announced this to the team and the club’s employees this Thursday morning at a works meeting in the presence of the provisional insolvency administrator, Dr. Max Liebig,” it said.

A total of eleven points were deducted from Munich this season due to an application for bankruptcy and a breach of conditions. This penalty is “no longer relevant,” wrote the German Football Association (DFB).

Türkgücü has not been able to find new donors. All games played so far by the bottom of the table are taken out of the ranking according to the DFB game rating because the exit took place before the last five league games. From April 1st, the 3rd division will continue with the 32nd matchday.

The loser in the Türkgücü cause is also promotion candidate 1. FC Saarbrücken. The club loses its six points against Munich and slips from third to fourth place in the table.
