The Transfermarkt database has been enriched by another competition. The South American Games, the continental equivalent of the global Olympic Games, are now available. At this year’s U20 soccer tournament, in which Brazil and Bolivia are not taking part, hosts Paraguay and Ecuador will face off in the final on Wednesday (9:00 p.m.). For Paraguay it would be the second gold medal after 1978 at the ninth edition, for Ecuador, which has won silver four times, the first.
The only active participant in Germany in the football tournament of the South American Games will fight for the bronze medal in the match for third place on Wednesday (2:00 p.m.). Goalkeeper Daniel Peluffo-Wiese from the regional division club Türkgücü Munich meets Colombia with Uruguay. The 19-year-old has played two of Celeste’s four games so far.
