Türkgücü Munich: Andy Irving convinces at Karlsruher SC

With Karweina in Austria training

Andy Irving switched from Heart of Midlothian FC to Türkgücü Munich in the summer of 2021 for a high training allowance and is one of the most valuable players in the 3rd division. Together with his teammate Sinan Karweina, he will accept Austria Klagenfurt’s invitation next week, as the club announced on Friday. The first division team can still qualify for international business in Austria three games before the end.

Irving, who is without a club after the bankruptcy of Türkgücü Munich and is free to transfer, has been involved in training at Karlsruher SC since the beginning of April. According to information from those around the club, the former Scotland Under-21 international made a very good impression and recommended himself for a summer commitment. The playmaker is high on the wish list should KSC play in central midfield.

On Friday, Klagenfurt announced that the 21-year-old will spend the coming week with the Bundesliga team – together with his teammate Sinan Karweina (23), who has previously played for Borussia Dortmund II.

“We’ve had Andy and Sinan on our radar for a long time and are happy that we now have the opportunity to get to know the players even better. It’s also important for the boys to train at a high level and keep their rhythm. Both sides benefit from it and can see if it fits,” said Klagenfurt’s sports director Matthias Imhof in the official statement.
