Turin, Juric before Lecce: the words of the coach in the conference

The Granata coach in the press conference on the eve of the match against Lecce: “Pellegri is fine, we only look at ourselves”

“From now on all the matches will be difficult, but none are prohibitive for us.” Ivan Juric continues in the name of optimism, preaches great confidence and looks to tomorrow evening’s match against Lecce to return to racing in the standings with his usual enthusiasm. “My feeling is that every match is complicated in its own way – says the Granata coach -, but I am very happy with the period we are going through: tomorrow will be a very important match, but we face each match with the right spirit. Only the match against Salernitana left me with a bad taste in my mouth, in my table only on this occasion we lost two points. In this period we are playing excellent football and we are collecting many points: we must continue with this continuity, obviously tomorrow we hope to win. We have to look only at ourselves, trying to win even the matches where perhaps we are not at the top or where we are on par with the opponent: this would be our leap in quality.”

VISIT GOOD MORNING

Rodriguez officially stopped during the week, on Monday Buongiorno will have a check-up in Rome with the shoulder specialist from whom he awaits the green light to return to training with the group. He is aiming to return in the home match against Fiorentina. “We are a bit few, but we hope to replace the injured players well.” Tameze is disqualified, Schuurs, Buongiorno, Rodriguez are in the infirmary. “But we hope to have Rodri back soon (about twenty days, ed)”. In defense there is a run-off for the central pivot between Lovato and Sazonov: “Both have done a good week of work, tomorrow I will decide which of the two will play”.

CHANCE PILGRIMS?

Listening to Juric, the impression is that tomorrow the opportunity for Pellegri could come in place of Sanabria paired with Zapata. It is difficult to say how much pre-tactics there is in Juric’s words, but in the meantime he says: “Pellegri is well, he has trained very well and Pietro knows well that he has to give us a hand – continues Juric -. Sanabria is less brilliant than in the past: he has a tendon problem, but I must admit that he is behaving like a great professional. Despite the pain, he still works and trains regularly, even if it is possible that in the long term this problem may have taken away some freshness from him. In the last two matches he wasn’t at the level of the previous matches: we will try to recover him as much as possible because he is fundamental.” And the coach adds: “We need everyone. Pellegri and Okereke? Everyone must make their contribution.”
