The Finnish textile producer Spinnova Plc has completed the management change announced in the summer. Tuomas Oijala will be the company’s new CEO with immediate effect, according to a statement published on Monday.
Oijala succeeded Ben Selby, who had led the company as interim CEO since the resignation of Kim Poulsen in recent months. Selby will remain chief financial officer (CFO) and will also act as deputy CEO, Spinnova said.
Oijala comes from the Finnish construction group Kone Corporation, where he most recently headed the New Building Solutions division. Spinnova had already introduced him as CEO-designate at the end of August. At the time it was said that he would take over his position at the top of the company by the turn of the year at the latest.
