After being promoted to regular in the motorcycle world championship, German Moto2 rider Lukas Tulovic is aiming for points in the season starting at the end of March.
“I don’t want to get specific, but in the European Championships we were sometimes at the World Championship level or even faster,” said the European Champion from Eberbach in Baden-Württemberg at the team presentation in Memmingen. “I think we can sort ourselves into the front third quite well.”
His previous chief technician Patrick Mellauner also has a lot of confidence in Tulovic. “He’s absolutely ready,” he said. “It’s all right – the fitness, the attitude. He’ll be good for surprises.”
Tulovic succeeds Marcel Schrötter at the German “Liqui Moly Husqvarna IntactGP” team. The 22-year-old is the only German driver who will contest the 2023 World Cup season.
