There is color in the landscape of Drenthe now that the tulips are in bloom. Due to the cold weather, the tulip season is later than usual.
Drenthe bulb growers have traditionally set out a number of routes along the tulip fields. You can walk, cycle and by car.
The walks are between 6 and 10 kilometers, the cycling routes vary from 25 to 53 kilometers. By car you are 50 kilometers away.
This weekend the traditional Tulpenpracht at Night will be held again on Friday and Saturday evening. Visitors then drive by car at dusk and dark past illuminated fields full of colorful tulips.
Enthusiasts can start between 20:00 and 22:00 at Veninga Hijken and will receive a route description. The fields are lit from 8:30 pm to 11:30 pm.
