According to a report in the Bild newspaper, record-breaking soccer champion Bayern Munich is parting ways with coach Julian Nagelsmann. According to information from Kicker, SZ and the Bild newspaper late Thursday evening, former Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel is the favorite to succeed him. There is said to have been contact between FC Bayern and the 49-year-old in the past few days.
Born in Krumbacher Tuchel, who has an apartment in Munich, had won the Champions League with Chelsea, but was released there in September 2022 after the weak start to the season. Nagelsmann is playing the worst Bundesliga season in eleven years up to matchday 25 with Bayern.
Hard defeat against Bayer Leverkusen
On Sunday Munich had lost 1:2 at Bayer Leverkusen and slipped down to second place behind Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga table.
