Haakana has dreamed of acting for a long time. It also has a reason why he started making videos 12 years ago.
– I was in the theater and I had a lot of ideas. I thought I’d start doing handy sketches on the net side. I thought maybe that would get me into some movie or series someday. It’s cool to see how the circle closes, Haakana says.
Haakana ended up in Tuukka Temonen’s film The Nordic Harvest after getting to know Olga Temose in the Master Chef VIP competition.
– We were once spending the evening and after taking a little bit, I started talking about these acting stories. Olga said there would be one proggis with a pretty appropriate role. I laughed that “yeah of course these have been heard”. I completely forgot about it, Haakana says.
After five months, he was invited for test shots. Haakana got the script and he had to learn a few scenes.
– I saw myself so strongly in this role, and I didn’t know what to do if I didn’t get this role. I learned the entire script, it had someone on 120 pages, and I was in almost every scene. I learned everything, just to show that I’m really investing in this, Haakana describes her preparation.
More roles
In the auditions, Haakana also took artistic freedoms in one scene and improvised.
– I put my whole soul and heart into it. After the scene, Tuukka Temonen gets up from behind the monitor with a poker mask, looks at the handkerchief and then at me and says, “Yeah, how did that scene go?”, Haakana laughs.
Haakana already had time to wonder if she was messing with the whole thing. Now it is easy to say that by no means.

At least the main role of the film has not dimmed Haakana’s career dreams.
– My hope is that this task will not be left in one role and I could take this forward, Haakana says.
