TUBBE release single “Adult” and announce album

“Everyone is making progress, I’m just getting therapy” is what the new single “Adult” says.

TUBBE are back. With their current single “Adult”, the electro-pop duo provides a foretaste of their third studio album BANKROTT IN UTOPIA, which will be released in December 2023 and will be their first work together after disbanding in 2020.

The new song is about growing up – and above all how silly and childish this development can be in her opinion. At the beginning of the track, Henri Jakobs and Klaus Scheuermann compare themselves with their fellow human beings, who all seem to be getting more mature: “Everyone moves to the countryside, I just do cocaine” and “Everyone is making progress, I just do therapy” is what the piece says, for example . On the song, the musicians mix pop and electronica in the 90s style and also provide an accompanying music video.

After the duo broke up in 2020, Jakobs released his solo EP BIZEPS BIZEPS, became an ensemble member at the Berliner Schaubühne and worked as an author. The musician’s first novel, “Paradise Conditions”, was published in the summer of 2023.
