After 13 editions it stops for the TT-Run in Assen. The last running event in Assen this year is on June 18, the weekend before the TT.
The subsidy is not high enough to cover all costs. That is why the organization of the TT-Run has decided to stop the event after this year.
The TT-Run is an event where participants can run on the grounds of TT Assen. According to the organization, ‘everyone is welcome’, including fanatical runners, people with disabilities, children and the elderly. “We want to end the coming edition on a positive note,” says Frank Beekman of the organization.
‘Together active and inclusive forward’
The motto of the TT-Run is: “With your heart forward”. With this, the organization wants more attention to be paid to what your body can do. That is why the TT-Run Assen is again organizing a run for people with disabilities this year. “Sports must be made accessible to everyone,” says Beekman.
