Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim has to do without midfielders Sebastian Rudy and Dennis Geiger.
TSG announced on Monday that Rudy tore a muscle fiber in his left rear thigh in the 2-1 win against VfB Stuttgart on Friday evening without any external influence.
Geiger suffered a head injury. The 23-year-old was elbowed in the face in the first half but kept playing. After a duel in the middle of the second round, Geiger went down again and then had to be taken off the field on a stretcher in a daze. Rudy had come in to replace him.
Investigations in the head clinic of the Heidelberg University Clinic at the weekend remained unremarkable, the Hoffenheim team said.
