TSG Hoffenheim: Ex-professional Joshua Brenet stays with Twente Enschede

Should Malacia inherit

Former Hoffenheimer Joshua Brenet will not follow in the footsteps of Tyrell Malacia, who switched to Manchester United for 15 million euros, at Feyenoord Rotterdam. The 28-year-old has signed a new deal with Twente Enschede until 2024 after his old deal expired on June 30.

Brenet only returned to the Eredivisie from TSG on a free transfer in January, where he had previously worked for training club PSV Eindhoven and Vitesse Arnhem. At Twente, the full-back established himself as a regular player and helped with 13 appearances (two goals, one assist) to reach fourth place in the table. In June, his services resulted in the first increase in market value since 2018, from 500,000 to 1.3 million euros.

“In the last six months I have played for FC Twente with great joy and joy and I have been able to show myself as a football player again. It’s not only important that I feel good at the club, but also that my family does. We have that feeling at FC Twente,” said Brenet about his whereabouts.
