Sports director Alexander Rosen from the Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim, which is threatened with relegation, assumes that he will remain in the Kraichgau, despite the rumors about his departure.
“I’ve only been here for two months – and I’m not on the run,” said the 43-year-old on Sunday before the league game against Schalke 04 on “DAZN”.
Dietmar Hopp had already denied the report of a separation at the end of the season on Wednesday. “That has no basis whatsoever,” said the majority owner of kicker. Hopp was reacting to a report by Sport Bild, which described the end of Rosen and managing director Frank Briel as a done deal.
“The shareholder responded with a statement at record speed,” said Rosen, who recently celebrated his tenth anniversary and is still under contract until 2025: “I was extremely happy, but I had no doubts about it either.”
