John Bolton (75), the former national security advisor to American ex-president Donald Trump (77), airs his former boss’s dirty laundry in his new book. Bolton describes Trump as a self-centered and inept politician who is incapable of becoming president again. “World leaders think he is a laughing fool,” he says.
Bolton worked for Trump from 2018 to 2019. In his new book, ‘The Room Where it Happened’, the former advisor gives a brutally honest description of the ex-president. According to Bolton, Trump has insufficient political knowledge. “His attention span is quite short and he doesn’t know much about world history. Trump only cares about his own interests,” Bolton said.

According to Bolton, a re-election of Trump would have a major impact on world politics. According to the former advisor, the politician would consider leaving NATO, limiting support to Ukraine and encouraging China to block Taiwan. “(Russian President) Vladimir Putin and (Chinese leader) Xi Jinping would be very happy to see Trump back in power.”
But at the same time, world leaders are determined to take advantage of Trump, it sounds. “I think they think he’s a laughing fool,” the advisor claims. Bolton concludes that Trump is “unfit” to become president again. “If his first term was bad, his second will be even worse,” he concludes.
