Trump says “everyone” wants him to run for re-election. The 78-year-old former president points to his lead in several polls over other Republicans and Democrats. In the latest YouGov poll, Trump is behind current President Joe Biden by 4 percentage points.
The Republican expects to make a decision about his candidacy “very soon”. Should he come back to power, his priority would be the energy situation in the United States. He indicates in the interview that the economy can only grow again if the US is independent from other countries when it comes to energy.
