When working on trees on the side of the road in Berlin-Siemensstadt, a worker on a lifting platform was hit by a truck.
The 34-year-old man fell three meters into the street around 11:30 a.m. on Monday afternoon and suffered serious head injuries, the police said. The accident happened in Spandau on Nonnendammallee.
Two of the four lanes on the road were closed due to work on the trees.
However, the basket of the lifting platform still protruded into the next lane, so that a 52-year-old rammed the basket with his truck.
The injured man was taken to a hospital.
