A truck driver was injured this afternoon in an accident near Mantinge. For an unknown reason, the driver crashed into a tree. The victim was taken into the ambulance and taken to hospital for further care.
The truck was on its way with two large containers when something went wrong on the Mantingerdijk around 1 p.m. The road is between Mantinge and Meppen. The driver and his truck combination ended up off the road in a narrow section.
It is not yet known when the road will fully reopen.
