In the tail end of the traffic jam on the A67 near Ommel – where an accident occurred early Tuesday morning involving two trucks and a car – another accident happened around half past ten. This time near Liessel. Two trucks were also involved.
“Emergency services must also be able to work safely here,” explains a spokesman for the ANWB. “The road is therefore now closed from Liessel.”
After the first accident, the ANWB already warned that the road from Venlo to Eindhoven will not be released until the afternoon. Until then, traffic that wants to drive from Venlo to Eindhoven is advised to drive via Maastricht on the A73 and the A2.
