Because of a demonstration by truck drivers against the high gas and energy prices, the Berlin police expect traffic jams and disabilities on Friday afternoon.
The rally in Berlin by several hundred trucks is expected to lead to city-wide traffic restrictions and closures, the police said.
The trucks are to drive into the city center from all four directions.
The organizers announced that the trucks should only crawl through the government district around the Brandenburg Gate at two to three kilometers per hour, i.e. half the speed of pedestrians.
The title of the demonstration is: “The explosion in LNG prices. Waves of busts by transport companies.”
