A comment on the recent truck accidents by BZ editor Julian Loevenich.
Some driving instructors tell their students that they don’t get a driver’s license, but a gun license. You are right!
There were two fatal traffic accidents this week – and trucks were involved twice. Trucks that deliver to our supermarkets, drive our packages around – they can bring death in a matter of seconds!
Raising awareness is all the more important, and for all road users!
But especially for truck drivers: They in particular have to drive their heavy vehicles even more carefully and look even more closely.
But the same applies to pedestrians and cyclists: It’s better to stop once more and give up your right of way.
It really can’t be the solution to the problem. But when in doubt, save your life!
