Trouble at BTSV keeper: What he found against the KSC “catastrophic”

The first setback for Eintracht Braunschweig in the new season: Against Karlsruher SC, the premiere bankruptcy under coach Heiner Backhaus sets it. Keeper Ron-Thorben Hoffmann is served.
“We were the more active team and played a solid game,” said the goalkeeper after the final whistle and was particularly annoyed with the emergence of the goal. According to Hoffmann, one had “bought the cutting” both in the 0: 1 by Roko Šimić (16th) and 0: 2 by Fabian Schleusener (57.), said Hoffmann.
In the next breath, the keeper became even clearer. “We definitely have to work up the way the goal is to go,” it was catastrophic, “added Hoffmann. “We were simply not concentrated and awake in the two moments. That shouldn’t happen.”
Eintracht’s back team, especially during the second goal, had indeed looked bad. After a rapidly executed KSC free kick, the BTSV switched too slowly. Schleusener used this in re -setting for the preliminary decision. Captain Sven Köhler also struggled with the scene. “We just slept, that shouldn’t happen,” said the defensive man.
The red card for Eintracht defender Louis Breunig in injury time did the rest. Köhler, who agreed to his goalkeeper, summed up: “It was not absolutely necessary that we were not absolutely necessary for us to lose 0: 2 here.”
Due to the defeat, Eintracht initially slips into five of the German lower house. In addition, the team of coach Heiner Backhaus missed to collect further self-confidence before the upcoming first round game in the DFB Cup against VfB Stuttgart on Tuesday (kick-off: 8.45 p.m.).
The attitude of the team then gave Hoffmann courage for the upcoming tasks. “I didn’t see a team that put the head in sand or gave up. We will have to work up and set the errors.” In the best case, from the BTSV’s point of view, the world looks different again in the cup against favorite Stuttgart.
