Tristan Vandenbussche and Aaron Andries from Bruges are last in the A-final
The U23 world champions got off to a quick start. After the first 250 meters, the 22-year-old from Bruges and the 20-year-old from Ghent were next to the Croatian favourites. At the intermediate point after 500 meters they were fourth.
Afterwards, the Belgians could not continue their good start, so they finished in sixth and last place.
At the front, the Croats took the win in 6’07″00, just like last year, a good second for Italy (06’08″25) and almost four seconds for the Netherlands (06’10″74). The two Belgian rowers followed eighteen seconds later in 6’25″19.
