Primoz Roglic will definitely start on Friday in Utrecht in the Vuelta a España. It was long uncertain whether the three-time winner of the Vuelta a España would compete after his fall in the Tour de France in July.
32-year-old Roglic has only been training on the road again for two weeks after his crash in the Tour. In the fifth stage in the Tour de France, the Jumbo-Visma rider crashed. A week and a half later, Roglic decided to leave the Tour to fully recover from his injuries.

The Vuelta starts on Friday in Utrecht with a team time trial. A day later, a stage from Den Bosch to Utrecht follows, after which the stage starts and ends in Breda on Sunday. Monday is the first rest day. The last stage ends in Madrid on September 11.
