The German triathletes Nina Eim and Marlene Gomez-Göggel celebrated podium finishes at the World Cup in Valencia.
Eim finished the Olympic distance (1.5 km swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run) 16 seconds behind Rio Olympic champion Gwen Jorgensen (1:55:01 hours) from the USA, seven seconds later Gomez- Göggel third place.
Anabel Knoll finished 18th, Lisa Tertsch had to settle for 26th place. On Saturday evening in Spain the men also started over the Olympic distance.
