Anaheim Ducks superstar Trevor Zegras made a splash in the NHL again with one aerial goal against the Minnesota Wild. This time the goal did not go down in history, as the Yankee player’s hit was rejected after the coach’s challenge.

After the video review, the referees stated that the air wave had been preceded by an offside. My Ducks companion Teemu Selänne took on Twitter carries Zegras’s sensational goal to disallow.

– Except! This rule has to go. It’s the worst rule in hockey, Selänne wrote on Twitter in a laughing tone.

Zegras has made aerial curls into the opponent’s net before. Last season, he scored two similar goals against the goalies of the Montreal Canadiens and the Arizona Coyotes.

A disallowed goal in the opening set could have changed the game, as Minnesota eventually won the match 4–1. At the end of the game, Zegras was also emotional, as he was involved in a big group brawl, for which six players were given behavior penalties.
