This kind of vandalism is not new in the community. A tree vandal has been active on the grounds near the sports hall for about three years now. In recent weeks, a dozen trees have been damaged again. Someone cuts off a piece of bark with a knife.

Due to the damage, some trees also have to be cut down. The municipality estimates the amount at around 6,000 euros.

The municipality now hangs plastic around the bark, in the hope that the bark would recover again.
