These proposals affect the taxes levied on wealth and inheritance, as reported by EL PERIÓDICO. The group of experts is in favor of keeping them, raise the exempt minimumincrease the base and smooth the scale of the lien .

“The drift of recent years has caused downward competition and has emptied these taxes of content, something similar to what happens at European level with that of companies,” said the president of the expert commission, Jesús Ruiz- Vegetable plot. “The Government must study the maintenance of minimum limits of the effective tax, with maintenance of autonomy and normative competences on the rise and fall”, he explained.

In recent years, competition in these taxes has increased, which has led, for example, in Madrid not to pay the wealth tax, which makes it an attractive territory for fortunes, while in other communities pay a high charge. And the same thing happens with inheritances and donations.
