The Rolling Loud Germany Festival took place from July 7th to 9th and around 60,000 visitors attended the first edition of the festival on the outdoor area of the Munich Exhibition Center. But not everything went smoothly – not even at the concert of the headliner on Sunday (July 9th), Travis Scott. This made his fans wait a long time.
Instead of the US rapper, event organizers Tariq Cherif and André Lieberberg took the stage at 8:30 p.m. and announced that Scott’s gig would be delayed. The reason for the delay: aircraft delay. Specifically, the musician had to change planes in London and stay there longer than expected, because US President Joe Biden also landed in London at the same time, which is why all other planes had to stay on the ground for safety reasons. “The President of the United States flew into Heathrow on his damn Air Force One and Travis Scott’s jet got stopped,” Lieberberg said.
After a delay of about an hour and twenty minutes, the time had come: Travis Scott was able to play his concert. However, this was over quickly. Instead of the planned 75 minutes, the rapper and Kyle Jenner ex only had half an hour for his performance. Then, as before the performance, the crowd was asked to behave in a civilized manner. On Twitter, fans were frustrated and let their displeasure run free.
