Rapper Travis Scott performed at the Primavera Sound festival in Chile on Sunday (November 13). While standing on stage, he gave a short speech to singer Björk. She was a spectator at the festival and Travis Scott expressed his delight at playing for her as she is one of his biggest inspirations. However, he didn’t spell the Icelandic singer’s name quite right, as seen in the clip.
“Before we start, I just want to say that one of my favorite artists is here today. Bjork is here today. She’s one of the biggest inspirations why I do what I do the way I do. I’m so happy to play for them today. Bjork, I love you so much,” Travis tells Scott, then calls on the entire audience to get loud and cheer for Bjork.

Apparently Travis Scott’s next and fourth studio album will be titled UTOPIA. He already teased the album, but the release is said to have been delayed due to the tragedy at his Astroworld festival. Some of his fans noticed that Björk released an album called UTOPIA back in 2017. It earned her a nomination for Best Alternative Music Album at the 61st Grammys, but she didn’t win.
In the past, Travis Scott not only drew inspiration from Björk’s music, but also sampled it. For example, he used the song “Jóga” by Björk from HOMOGENIC for his song “No Bystanders” from the album ASTROWORLD.
Here the original:
In Scott’s song, the melody of “Jóga” is only off minute 0:26 listen.
