Transmigrant wins 250,000 euros with scratch card, but has since gone missing

The man bought the lottery ticket in a supermarket in Zeebrugge. When he scratches the ticket there, he notices that he has won a considerable amount. In the shop they forward it to the headquarters of the National Lottery in Brussels.

“Right to the Money”

But he has been missing since then. Nobody knows who he is either. If he registers, he will receive a check if necessary, because you cannot open an account in our country without papers. “That in itself is not a problem in our procedure. The rightful owner is entitled to receive the money,” says Joke Vermoere of the National Lottery.

“So in our procedure we pay out the money to the person with the winning scratch card. For example, we have previously paid tourists from France who win here, into their account in France.”
