The transit of Russian gas to Slovakia through the territory of Ukraine has decreased three times since the beginning of 2022. This was reported by TASS with reference to the Slovak gas transmission operator Eustream.

“The pumping of Russian gas to Slovakia through the gas distribution station in the town of Veельké Kapushany on the border with Ukraine has been reduced by about three times since December 31, 2021,” Eustream said. The country received 26 million cubic meters on January 3. m of gas.

The reduction in transit through Ukraine to Slovakia occurs for the third day in a row. On the first day of 2022, the volume of gas passing through Veельké Kapusany decreased by 41% and reached its minimum since November 2, 2021. The next day, January 2, 2022, the reduction in pumped capacity continued: pumping through Velke Kapushany decreased from 49.5 to 35.5 million cubic meters. m.

Gazprom explained the reduction in supplies by the fact that customers from France and Germany have already chosen the annual volume of gas and are not submitting bids.
