Terrence Boyd’s move from 1. FC Kaiserslautern to Waldhof Mannheim is perfect. Both clubs announced this on Wednesday evening. The FCK thus fulfilled the wishes of the striker, who recently left the “Red Devils” winter training camp in Belek, Turkey, early. Nothing was announced about the contract length of the king’s transfer to the third division club; according to reports, the 32-year-old signed until 2026 and will cost 100,000 euros.

“There’s not much more to say about Terrence. He brings a high level of quality to Alsenweg and should give us more offensive power. On and off the pitch, Terrence is a player who wants to move forward. In the past few days and weeks we have worked intensively to ensure that this transfer can take place. Ultimately, we are pleased that Terrence has chosen us and wants to make a difference here,” explained sports director Tim Schork.

Boyd added: “I’m really looking forward to my new role here at SV Waldhof Mannheim 07. The conversations with the coach and those in charge have convinced me that I want to play here in the future. Throughout the entire metropolitan region you can see the importance that SV Waldhof has. I’m looking forward to having a lot of familiar faces in the team and would like to help the club get out of the current situation.”

After Boyd had to make do with the reserve role in Kaiserslautern at the start of the season following knee problems, he was back in the starting eleven in the second half of the first half of the season. However, he was unable to build on his strong performance from the previous year – 13 goals in 33 games – and scored two goals in 15 league games. In the competition, Ragnar Ache Boyd, who has been injured in the meantime, has lost the place, and Darmstadt 98 has also signed another center forward, Filip Stojilkovic.
