Transfer market Naples, Kvaratskhelia goal: Rubin Kazan frees him

The 2001 winger is in Giuntoli’s sights for the post-Insigne, all the more so after the resolution of the Russian club decided “to protect the boy’s future”

The threats received from family members would have convinced Rubin Kazan to separate from Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, one of the most interesting prospects in Russian football and a goal for Napoli. It is not new, on the other hand, that the climate of tension originating from the conflict in Ukraine is having strong repercussions in the operations of buying and selling footballers. This is also the case of the attacking winger born in 2001, which Cristiano Giuntoli is following closely to replace Lorenzo Insigne. The captain will be a Toronto Fc player starting next summer and the club is moving in search of a new profile. Among those considered there is also the Georgian, who in recent weeks has returned to his country, shot on loan to Dinamo Batumi. However, the forced sale of Rubin Kazan appears to be final.

THE POSITION OF THE RUBIN

Through the championat.com portal, the Russian club expressed its position on the matter, explaining the various phases and the reasons for this operation: “Initially the contract was suspended. Then after further discussion, we decided to meet the player’s needs with the resolution. We had to take into account that he and his family in Georgia received criticism and threats for his stay in Russia. It was a choice made to protect Kvaratskhelia’s future and we are in constant contact with him. As a society we will behave on the basis of what is happening and we will see how things develop in our country ”. However, Rubin Kazan, after having announced the suspension and the loan to Dinamo Batumi, has not yet released any press release on the subject on its official channels.

PRICES INCREASING

Naturally this implication would change the boundaries within which the negotiation moves. When Napoli carried out the first polls for the player, a valuation of € 15 million emerged. The Azzurri also take into consideration Adnan Januzaj of Real Sociedad, who will be released in June. A similar fate, however, could also befall Kvaratskhelia. The lack of card costs would make it even more attractive, given the age difference: the former Manchester United turned 27 last February. The prices of the Georgian, therefore, are on the rise, with Napoli which could already give the decisive acceleration before the end of the season.
