Transfer: Haaland released – change to ManCity is imminent

Dortmund (dpa) – Star striker Erling Haaland is said to have informed Borussia Dortmund about his move to Manchester City at the end of the season. According to their own information, the Bundesliga club allowed the Norwegian to use the training-free Monday to “regulate personal matters”.

Sky had previously reported that city boss Ferran Soriano had informed BVB managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke that the English wanted to activate the agreed exit clause in Haaland’s contract and pay the fixed fee of 75 million euros. The portal “The Athletic” also wrote that the parties are in principle in agreement and that the change should take place this week.

Dortmund’s licensed player boss Sebastian Kehl had already announced in the Sport1 “Doppelpass” on Sunday that the Norwegian’s upcoming change could probably take place this week. However, Kehl had not yet mentioned the name of Manchester City as the receiving club.

In return, national striker Karim Adeyemi is to switch from Red Bull Salzburg to Dortmund. “I’m assuming that we’ll make progress with Karim this week,” Kehl said about this personality. Haaland had already switched from Salzburg to Dortmund in early 2020 for 20 million euros.
