Dean James has found a new club. The 23-year-old left back goes to Go Ahead Eagles and signs until 2026. He was active for FC Volendam in recent years, but he left there on a free transfer.
James has been on trial with Go Ahead for the past few weeks. “I am eager to prove myself. Of course I realize that I have a good competitor in Bas Kuipers, but I want to show myself as much as possible and in the long term be important to the club as a permanent basic player,” says James.

The defender played for Ajax in the past and in recent years for FC Volendam. He came to 55 official duels for the Eel farmersbut hardly got any playing time from trainer Wim Jonk in the Eredivisie.
