It’s nice that the M 10 tram from the main train station has been extended to Turmstrasse. The effect, however, is that she now often arrives late, resulting in long waiting times. And it’s way too full!
I was happy that our M 10 tram was extended to the Turmstrasse subway station. Even better connections from east to west. But unfortunately you often see long faces at the train stations. The digital display is often no longer correct. It shows a minute or flashes as if the train is coming soon. But nothing happened.
Very annoying that the tram, which previously ran fairly reliably every five minutes, is now causing people to stand in their stomachs at the stops again and again. Now you can sometimes see 10 minutes, 15 minutes or even 22 minutes waiting there during the day. With the note: traffic jam. Departure delayed. This is particularly unfunny at the Warschauer Straße terminus. A narrow path, few benches.
Recently there was an ad again: Train is coming in 9 minutes. I was squeezed together with a hundred people in the narrow waiting area. Good thing it didn’t rain. There isn’t much shelter. Because I waited 16 minutes.
The train then moved very slowly. Because when it’s full, it takes a lot longer for people to get out of the crowded aisles.
Even in the evening, when rush hour is over and the party people are out and about, there are often delays. It is then not very pleasant to travel in the tightly packed carriages. It’s no consolation that the empty beer bottles no longer roll through the entire train because of all the people, but instead stop at many feet.
And there are only five stations that the M 10 now travels. Was traffic control asleep here? Was it forgotten to adjust the traffic lights so that the tram can get through easily?
Nobody can expect to leave their car when the tram is so unreliable. And users are already worried about the next extensions. The line will eventually be extended to Jungfernheide and Hermannplatz …
