On the railway line between Ostend and Brussels there are problems with the European safety system etcs on Sunday morning. As a result, trains in both directions were initially delays that could go up to 30 minutes. For direct trains between Bruges and Gent-Sint-Pieters, a detour was also provided.
Around 8 o’clock, however, the problem is already largely resolved. The trains will use a backup system at the affected point, between Aalter and Landegem, namely the national security system. That means that they no longer have to follow a whole safety procedure and no longer be diverted.
Consequences are still possible.
