Due to a power failure, no trains ran between Zwolle and Meppel on Saturday morning. The trains to Groningen and Leeuwarden also experienced problems as a result. The outage was rectified at 12:30 p.m.
According to a spokesman for the Dutch Railways, the power was briefly lost at an external supplier. A switch that has been tripped must be turned again. No replacement buses could be arranged, the spokesman said.
