Trains are running again after a truck broke overhead lines

Trains are running again between Den Bosch and Boxtel. An overhead line was damaged on Wednesday at a level crossing on the Laagstraat in Vught after an overly high truck hit the overhead line. Train traffic came to a standstill and ProRail had to work to restore everything.

Images from ProRail showed that the truck with a trailer behind it drove across the track with a crane that extended far above the truck. The crane then hits the overhead wires, causing a huge flash and a shower of sparks. In addition to the broken overhead line, a barrier and a lamppost were also destroyed.

ProRail worked all night to repair the damage, and the trains will run again between Den Bosch and Boxtel on Thursday morning.
