He only kept his condition at Jong Ajax since Monday, but Ryan Babel has already found a new club. The 35-year-old Amsterdammer has signed a contract with the Turkish Eyüpspor, a second-level club from Istanbul.
Babel has been transfer-free since this summer, after his contract with Galatasaray was not renewed. The former Ajax player eventually played three different periods with the team from Amsterdam. He came to 142 official matches for Ajax. Babel had his breakthrough in 2004, after which he moved to Liverpool in 2007.
After a number of wanderings, the attacker ended up in Amsterdam again in 2012. He left again a year later and was hired from Galatasaray during the winter break in 2020. Babel has been under contract there for the past three seasons. Besides Babel, Carel Eiting and Pelle Clement also trained with Jong Ajax, they have not yet found a new club.
