Trainer Jeroen Smits is at the helm of the SEW handball players for the last games of the season. The team from Nibbixwoud had a turbulent time. Two weeks ago Arthur Langedijk was fired and after one game, intermediary pope Rik Boonkamp indicated last Tuesday that he would stop again.
The club has now announced that Smits is in charge for the last five games of the season. With three games left in championship group B, SEW is fourth and last in the group. The first two places give the right to European handball, but the chance is very small that the North Hollanders qualify for it.
Next Saturday there is a home game against Volendam.
