FOOTBALL – Fred Grim is the new technical manager of FC Emmen. He succeeds Mike Willems, who was fired by the club four days ago.
Halfway through last month, Grim was recruited as Emmen’s new trainer. He signed a contract until the summer of 2025. He will now combine that position with the position of technical manager.
General director Rinse Bleeker: “We are pleased that we have filled the position of technical manager so quickly after the departure of Mike Willems. You see this combination more often in football and we are convinced that Fred will perform this combined function well. The lines will become even shorter between the first selection and the scouting. We are also satisfied with the current scouting apparatus, so that will remain unchanged.”
For Grim it is not an unknown combination. In the past he also combined both functions at Almere City FC and RKC Waalwijk. “So I know what is being asked. With the help of the scouts and the network of FC Emmen, we continue to focus on players who fit the club and our style of play.”
The transfer market is open until the end of August.
