Train traffic resumed between Veurne and De Panne
The incident occurred shortly before 11 a.m. on Tuesday near Pannestraat in Veurne. A train that had left De Panne shortly before collided with a person. About thirty people were on the train. The travelers were evacuated and then picked up by a bus.
Due to the accident, no trains could run between De Panne and Veurne for hours. The NMBS therefore installed replacement buses in both directions on the route. Normal train traffic has resumed since 3:50 p.m. Consequential delays are still possible on the railway line.
