The problems with an overhead line on the train route between Hoogeveen and Meppel are over. Just before noon, train traffic between the two places came to a standstill.
The NS initially expected that no trains would run until 4:15 p.m. That forecast was adjusted to 2:30 p.m. Ultimately, the problems were resolved before 2 p.m. and train traffic could be resumed.
ProRail reports that the problems were related to the lack of voltage on the overhead lines.
