A collision took place at the railway crossing on the Kerkhoflaan in Emmen this afternoon. Due to the accident, train traffic between Emmen and Zwolle has come to a standstill.
A scooter collided with a passing train and the driver was seriously injured. Emergency services are currently on site.
NS expects no trains to run until 8:15 p.m.
