Train traffic between Den Bosch and Utrecht resumed after ‘false alarm’

Trains are running again between Den Bosch and Utrecht. The suitcase that was left unattended at Utrecht Central Station did not contain any dangerous items. He was previously seen as ‘suspicious’, after which the station was evacuated. Train traffic was therefore not possible for an hour on Saturday evening.

Shortly after half past ten in the evening, the Explosive Exploration Team announced that it was a false alarm. According to a spokeswoman, the suitcase will be handed over to the lost and found department.

The NS decided earlier to stop train traffic to and from Utrecht Central Station because it was not possible to stop on a number of platforms. According to a spokeswoman, the train service will be restarted, but the NS advises travelers to keep a close eye on the journey planner and to take delays into account. “We’re trying to get everything back to normal as soon as possible,” she said.
