There are currently no trains running between Assen and Groningen due to a collision, the NS reports. The timetable is disrupted for the rest of the evening and the hours after.
Nothing has yet been announced about the use of buses. From Assen it is still possible to travel south, passing Beilen, Hoogeveen and Meppel.
The collision was near Glimmen.
