Train traffic again tomorrow after accident in Ardooie
Train traffic has been halted since last Tuesday afternoon after a collision between a passenger train and a truck. The material damage was extensive but has now been repaired. The repairs on site have now been completed. The last tests will be carried out today and tonight the tracks will be made available to the NMBS to get empty trains in place.
Train traffic can then restart on Wednesday morning.
Four slightly injured
On Tuesday afternoon, a truck that had broken down on a level crossing in Ardooie was hit by a passenger train. Two wagons derailed and four passengers were slightly injured. The driver was able to leave his truck in time.
