Train traffic again after accident in Ardooie
Train traffic has been halted since last Tuesday afternoon after a collision between a passenger train and a truck. The material damage was extensive but has now been repaired. The repairs on site have now been completed. The last tests were carried out yesterday and the tracks were made available to the NMBS to get empty trains in place.
Train traffic could then restart this morning.
Four slightly injured
In the afternoon of last Tuesday, a truck that had broken down on a level crossing in Ardooie was hit by a passenger train. Two wagons derailed and four passengers were slightly injured. The driver was able to leave his truck in time.
